JoJo's Story

In memory of Chick and Tillie Rosnick

 

Chick Rosnick immigrated from Eastern Europe to Springfield, MA in 1912 when he was five. Unusual in those times for a Jewish kid growing up in an Orthodox home, Chick became a five sport athlete in High School. Like JoJo, Chick was small in stature but huge in heart.

Chick knew JoJo first.  He told JoJo stories to his sons, including Peter, who in turn told JoJo stories to their children.  If you love JoJo, you would have loved Chick and Tillie Rosnick too – because, like JoJo, they were smart, clever, thoughtful, and brave.
